Glamping, the new way of camping (ENG)

We talked about glamping in our last post, but we’d like to give you some more ideas if you’re thinking of going on a glam, different and funny journey this summer…

So, as we’ve already explained, glamping means “glam camping”: it is a new frontier of camping, offering particular accommodation for those who want to spend their holidays in relax, calmness and surrounded by nature.

Bled's Glamping
As you know we discovered “glamping” while looking for a camping in Bled: we ended up at Camping Bled and we have recently stayed in a Gozdne Vile, a wooden hut with a hot tub outside (if you want to know something more about it read here).

We do a research on the Internet and we discovered so many things: tents as big and equipped as those seen in Harry Potter, restyled caravans, treehouses with Jacuzzi. They can be very pricey, but if you’d like to go on a glam and particular holyday, certainly glamping wouldn’t let you down.

Visit the website glamping.com in order to find a destination which suits you: you’ll find any kind of accommodation all over the world.
Another interesting website is canopyandstars.co.uk: we fell in love with their treehouses. Many of them are in France and we think that the most beautiful one is the Milande Treehouse in Dordogne: it is a wooden castle with a double and a children bedroom, a big terrace and even a hot tub outside.

They’re quite pricey, but if you’re looking for a cheaper solution then try this tent in Portugal  or rent an accommodation with airbnb.

What do you think of this geodesic dome? It is set in Spain and costs 29 Euros per night.

And this? This is a caravan in a theatrical setting, it is located in Belgium and costs 35 Euros per night.

There’s also a treehouse at only 30 Euros per night.

It’s certainly not as luxurious as that in Dordogne, but it is set in a natural park in Andalusia and it can be a good alternative for those who don’t want to spend too much.

Well, there’s plenty of glamping accommodation to choose! Give them a look or let us know if you have visited an unusual destination…We’ll continue our research, maybe it can be useful for our future holidays!
